It seems that I’m on a run of featuring “What brings a smile” photos in Treasure Your Life Now. Last week’s Lorikeets photo still brings a spontaneous smile to my face every time I come across it. This week’s photo of my granddaughter at age 3 does the same. [click to continue…]

Today is one of those days when I’m stuck for what to write, along with what photo or photos to share with you for the week.
And, I’ve made a commitment to myself and to you to email one issue of Treasure Your Life Now each week. My statement on this is that there will be one to three inspirational photographs, along with the self-reflecting queries that evolve from them, plus a relationship tip. [click to continue…]

I am in one of those states of query and mixed emotions. I would expect that you also experience such states at one time or another.
On the one hand I am thrilled and excited. On Tuesday evening, September 11th I will be doing an open phone interview with Jerry Downs, professional photographer, writer and much more. Many of you, I know, already appreciate his awesome photos, his humor, poignant messages and views of the world. I feel privileged on behalf of us all that he accepted my request for an interview. (See BELOW the Queries and Tips for a link to register for the free call AND for the download gift of his book THE PRESENT.) [click to continue…]

As I was reviewing prior Picture to Ponder publications when preparing for today’s issue of Treasure Your Life Now, the following photos popped out. They “asked” to be shared with you.
Before saying anything more, I’ll allow them to wordlessly speak to you. Simply be with the images for a for a moment or two.

Are you regularly using your digital camera and/or your camera phone as one of your means of communication with yourself and your loved one(s)?
Are you filled with pride and taking pictures you love, then sharing them on cards, online albums, blog posts, email and/or on your walls?
Or, are you one who sometimes doesn’t even think to use your camera – digital or phone – for communication and taking special pictures? [click to continue…]

Announcing the re-launching of the Through and From The Lens telecourse: Using Your Camera to See in New and Expanded Ways. Please check out the information after today’s queries and tips.
It’s been a very busy two weeks. More than likely it’s been the same for you. Found in one of last year’s issues of Picture to Ponder, today’s photos are about relaxing. Taking the latter path, I am merely revising and republishing the content. I came across the issue prior to a “Questions on Getting Unstuck” Complimentary Session (see below) with one of our long-time subscribers. When I get a request I usually check to see if the person is a subscriber and if he/she has written any comments in the past
The latter woman, in fact, had. The Lisianthus flowers below are among those she had noted. When I went to the issue, I immediately stopped to “bathe” myself in the simplicity and beauty of the flowers.
I noted that then I had invited you, as I do now, to take some time to simply breathe in the beauty of the images below.

Is your already “knowing the answers”, at least thinking you do, getting in the way of taking action?
Conversely, is the “need to know the answers to certain questions” stopping you from moving forward?

Today’s Photos and Story –

The above pink tulip bud was first featured in Picture to Ponder more than seven years ago. How timeless and fresh it looks here today.
Yet it’s an image that could have been totally overlooked. It was in the midst of a plant I had purchased and put in the trunk of my car. When I opened the trunk this bud caught my eye and I went for the camera before the flower had a chance to open.

Today’s issue of Treasure Your Life Now looks at communication in our relationships and opportunities for shifting out of negative states. We will also see a demonstration of the possibilities that can open up when “playing,” adding relaxation and fun to what’s happening in the moment.
If you are a woman, married or single, and looking for more romance in your relationship, be sure to check out the special offer on the Lifelong Romance Retreat at which I will be an exhibitor on June 23rd. (after the Tips)
Today’s Photos and Story –
Going through some old papers the other day, I found one of the numerous Haikus I had written six and seven years ago when I was experiencing a great deal of anger at how Parkinson’s Disease was affecting my beloved Sam. [click to continue…]

Recently I was drawn to this T.H.I. N.K. acrostic that I saw on Facebook. The image posted was white on black. It did not seem to be appropriate to take that image, so I created another graphic.
I also did a Google search to see if there was someone to whom this is attributed. I could not find an original author.
Given our is focus now on relationships, I felt it too rich not to include this powerful/empowering suggestions/reminders in Treasure Your Life Now. The questions are such perfect reminders to pause and ask ourselves before launching into complaints, in particular, with those with whom you are close or anyone else, with whom you are interacting.
