Before going into photos and ponderings, I want to mention the Oprah & Deepak 21-Day Meditation Challenge, Miraculous Relationships. Given we are about Treasuring our Lives I think you might want to check it out if you have not already been aware of this program. Today is Day 7. Recording and Messages are available for free for five days from the time they are posted, so there is still time to register and experience most of the series at no charge.
The welcome statement states, “We are honored you are joining us on this journey to the heart of true love. You will discover the wonder that exists within and then watch all of your relationships unfold effortlessly, easily and miraculously.”
The first part of the series is devoted to our loving ourselves. On Day 5, Deepak Chopra speaks of self-image and recognizing our true value.
“With increased awareness of self becomes conscious of how we talk to ourselves… choosing words that are enlightening and uplifting. If we falter we forgive ourselves fully.” To register, click on Miraculous Relationships.
So much of the Day 5 meditation and messages, as well as the others fit in with were I’m headed in my own personal search and I suspect, quite possibly, that of you too.
Today’s Featured Photo –
A “Seemings” collage of photos that caught my attention as I was searching for photos for this issue. As several cropped up, I decided to “tear” pieces out (with Photoshop Elements) and assemble them into a collage for coursework for Landmark Worldwide’s Wisdom Unlimited Course in which I am a currently a reviewer.
In the past I did these collages with magazine photos that attracted me. The “seemings” are what we think the resulting collage is telling us about how we view something/s in our lives.
After the Announcements below, I will share a bit of what I say the image is showing me about my thoughts on my life. First, I invite you to be with the imagery and reflect on what you experience when looking at the picture. At the end, I will also give you a link to a page that shows the original, full photos, before selecting out segments.
Self-Reflecting Queries –
As you look at Today’s photo, is there a feeling, or feelings, relating to your own life?
Does anything come up for you in terms of your relationship with yourself and/or others?
If so, be with this for a few minutes and take it in, perhaps write down fragments of what you are seeing or experiencing.
Relationship Tip –
One of the ways you can start appreciating yourself is to use your camera and play with self-portraits. See “Using the iPhone Camera … [as] a Way of Getting Comfortable with Oneself.” Click on Self-Photos.
I also write, briefly, there that using the camera is also a way you can express love to, and receive it from, your partner or another person.
As always, have fun, and please share in the COMMENTS below your experiences with what comes up for you with these questions and your resultant actions.

Dear Sheila,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this issue. First, I had been away from emails for a while due to overwhelm and had not picked up on the Meditation Challenge. I am so grateful you mentioned it. I signed up right away.
Second, your collage DID speak to me, and, lo and behold, you used the SAME words that I used a few days ago: too many choices!
I also am obsessed with moons and paths and capsules from nature, and your photographs are magnificent.
Back to choices, what a special word. Perhaps it is not such a negative thing to have so many options and to be involved in so many different projects. Even nature puts forth a riot of colors and forms to seduce the eye!
Savor and enjoy. You enrich all who come in contact with you through your art and your sincere comments and the way you project your life.
So again, thank you.
Hugs,
Mary Martha
Thank you so much, Mary Martha, for your beautiful words of acknowledgment, as well as description of your own experiences of life. I am moved to tears by your expression.
I’ve actually been weighing discontinuing publishing Picture to Ponder/Treasure Your Life and calling it complete after 9 years. You’ve certainly added more food for thought.
Sending appreciation and love.
Even nature puts forth a riot of colors and forms to seduce the eye. Mary Martha Pazos
I am faced with choices every day. What to do and not do. Where to go and not go. What to think and not think. I wonder if nature is the the same. It puts forth so many things every day. So many choices to make. Will the flower open now or later? Which hue will blanket the flowers radiance. Which green will be emitting through the leaves? Which golden rays will transform to which reds and oranges as the leaf moves into the wild dance of dying and falling to the ground to nourish yet more trees blossoming their colors across the night sky and early morning dawn. Nature is never the same one moment to to the next. I wonder if it is making choices about which part of itself to show next and how to dance its dance of color and fragrance and patterns across my life. It is guided from within where I cannot know or be, or is the design a momentary choice. I am left wondering.
Wow! What beautiful words, Sheila. Thank you.
And Morgine, I can sense a philosohpical poet’s heart through the artistry of your musings! How delectable! I can envision the dialogue between your inner self and nature’s essence.
You see, Sheila. Your publication has a rippling effect on our souls. Like pebbles lovingly tossed into the stream, your treasures reverberate around the world. Remember that we do not always taste the fruits of what we sow or even know if fruit was borne, as in Johnny Appleseed’s trees. Thus we walk on in faith.
Take care. You are ever in my prayers.
Mary Martha
