Change in Perspective

Today’s issue of Treasure Your Life Now looks at communication in our relationships and opportunities for shifting out of negative states. We will also see a demonstration of the possibilities that can open up when “playing,” adding relaxation and fun to what’s happening in the moment.

If you are a woman, married or single, and looking for more romance in your relationship, be sure to check out the special offer on the Lifelong Romance Retreat at which I will be an exhibitor on June 23rd. (after the Tips)

Today’s Photos and Story –

harsh words Haiku on photo imageGoing through some old papers the other day, I found one of the numerous Haikus I had written six and seven years ago when I was experiencing a great deal of anger at how Parkinson’s Disease was affecting my beloved Sam. [click to continue…]

Think acrosticRecently I was drawn to this T.H.I. N.K. acrostic that I saw on Facebook. The image posted was white on black. It did not seem to be appropriate to take that image, so I created another graphic.

I also did a Google search to see if there was someone to whom this is attributed. I could not find an original author.

Given our is focus now on relationships, I felt it too rich not to include this powerful/empowering suggestions/reminders in Treasure Your Life Now. The questions are such perfect reminders to pause and ask ourselves before launching into complaints, in particular, with those with whom you are close or anyone else, with whom you are interacting. This issue marks the 599th Picture to Ponder ezine!!! As I’ve been stating in the past few issues, I am transitioning title and branding from Picture to Ponder to the more pro-active Treasure Your Life Now. Treasuring our lives has actually been one of the indirect, unexpressed bottom line premises of Picture to Ponder over these past 8 years. So it seems quite fitting.

There are times when we may perceive life’s journey as a series of bumps in the road. As we go through changes, we have choices. We can focus on what is behind us, the bumps directly in front of us, or that which is beyond. [click to continue…]

Full Moon

Tomorrow night, May 6 at 11:34 PM EDT will be the largest full moon of 2012. Scientific explanation of and a brief very interesting video, by Science of NASA, on this “supermoon” can be found on the Space.com site, FULL MOON page. Be sure to scroll down that page to see the video.

Thinking about, and observing, the moon in both the light and dark skies over the past few days made me very aware of light and shadows. So when I came upon Picture to Ponder Volume 6 – Issue 19, it seemed to be perfect to revise for today. It is based on my oftentimes repeated observations, “where there are shadows, there is light. In order to have shadows we MUST have light.”

We can most definitely look at the following through the filters of happenings in our relationships.

There are a few things I would like to bring your attention to. They are detailed next and below today’s Action Queries.

With Mother’s Day coming up I’d be doing you a disservice were I not to remind you of Nature Art Gifts. It includes links to a variety of choices of products incorporating my wide range of art. In addition gift certificates are available. Further down the page, my favorites are cited.

If you are one who has been married, or in a relationship, for 7 or more years, I’d love to have a conversation with you regarding Love With No Regrets. Do you ever wonder if there can be more than what you have now between the two of you? Are you and/or he/she challenged in expressing your/their true feelings? Are there things being left unsaid that you might regret not having spoken?

If any of the above fits for you, I invite you to schedule a 30-minute time slot on my Session Calendar  For more background and general information see – www.LoveWithNoRegrets.com – or go directly to the RYL-Session page to book a time.

Now on to Today’s Photos – A strange combination, I know. And, what commonalities do you see?

As I am transitioning and developing my Love With No Regrets business, I’ve started looking at issues from several years ago to see which photos and Self-Reflecting Queries fit more specifically with relationship issues.

Since so many of our Picture to Ponders do, in fact, in some way deal with relationships, firstly and most importantly with ourselves, I’m anticipating a fun time. It is my intention that you too enjoy the journey.

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know how much fun I have with reflections, so it’s not surprising that the first issue I went to was this with Miami Reflections.

It’s been a very busy, interesting and productive week here. I hope it was the same for you.

Sheila Finkelstein reflected in 3 mirrors I spent a lot of time in response to Jan Lundy’s invitation to submit an article for the March Issue of BUDDHA CHICK LIFE, topic: “Celebrating the Feminine”.

My knee jerk response, in my head, was, “Thanks, and that’s doesn’t describe me.”

Paying attention to my reaction, I decided it would be a good thing for me to write about, to work my way through it to see what, if anything, was at the root.

You can see my article by clicking on “Celebrating Owning Ourselves.”

Today’s Photos  are in the form of a short “Photo Essay.” Jan Lundy’s suggestion of an added “Photo Essay” for my article in BUDDHA CHICK LIFE probably was the subconscious catalyst when these photos popped out for me as I was searching my files.

Reflections in car lamp - brilliant red

When searching for a “heart” photo, or just “the right” photo for Valentine’s Day the above photo of headlights (taillights?) of a car popped out at me. Be it the colors, or the multi-reflected images it seemed to be most fitting to my message for today. So, I said “yes” to its being today’s featured photo. [click to continue…]
